During the show, the topic of marriage popped up to which Nida Dar replied that female cricketers try to play the sport as much as they can since they never know what’s going to happen after marriage.
Razzaq, while butting in, remarked that they (female players) don’t get married.
“Their field is as such. When they become cricketers, they strive to be as equal as their male counterparts, if not better than them. They want to prove that not only men but they can do it as well. The feeling [to get married] is gone by the time they excel”, he explained.
Not only this, the unceasing male cricketer continued wisecracking and said, “If you shake hand with her, she is anything but feminine”.
Amid all the brouhaha, the host and the co-hosts kept enjoying beside-the-point humor while Dar decided to respond.
“Our profession is such that we have to gym. We have to bat, bowl, field. Hence, we have to stay fit”, she explained.
One of the co-hosts, Wafa Butt, horned in and asked Nida, while hinting at her short hair, can she not play cricket with long hair.
“You absolutely can play with long hair but for someone who has always kept her hair short, it would affect her game”, the female batsman replied.
The netizens are in a rage over gender shaming by Abdul Razzaq.
