‘I am fine by the grace of Allah’, says Abid Ali after heart procedure

Test cricketer Abid Ali has said in a video message from the hospital, saying that he is faring well and asked everyone to pray for his early recovery as he going to undergo another medical procedure tomorrow.
Abid Ali is currently admitted to a Karachi hospital after being diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome yesterday.
Abid Ali felt chest pain during a match of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, according to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), adding that he was taken to a cardiac hospital for treatment.
The Central batsman left the batting crease at 61 during a match being played at UBL Sports Complex in Karachi against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
According to reports, a stent has been placed in Abid’s blocked coronary artery in an angioplasty surgery and he will be kept under observation at the hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU).
The PCB had said in a statement that Abid Ali is currently stable and requested the media and fans to respect his and the family’s privacy at this time.

Abid Ali is listed among the country’s brilliant batters alongside Hanif Mohammad, Zaheer Abbas, Mohsin Khan and others who have hit a century and 90 in the same Test match after his match-winning performance against Bangladesh in the Chattogram Test this year.
He had scored an unbeaten 113 runs in the first innings and 91 in the second innings in Chattogram.
