Rohan Bopanna from India and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi from Pakistan are considered as the Indo-Pak Tennis players who have long-espoused the slogan ‘Stop War, Start Tennis’.
Last time, Bopanna and Qureshi played alongside back in 2014 at an Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) event in Shenzhen.
After reunion, the first-round match duo played was at the ‘ATP 500 Mexico’ was organized in Acapulco.
The players teamed against Bruno Soares and Jamie Murray but the duo was defeated in the opening round of the tennis tournament.
The duo was pleased on reunion and hailed the enthusiasm of fans of Pakistan and India.
Aisam ,41, said that the sporting ties between Pakistan and India were not satisfactory.
Furthermore, the player lamented that the political terms between the countries affected sporting ties too.

Qureshi bemoaned that players from India are restricted to visit Pakistan for sports or other cultural exchange activities and vice versa.
Bopanna on the other hand recalled his visit to Pakistan to attend Aisam’s wedding and added that on their way back home, the tennis player was stopped by the police.
However, after they recognized the Indian player, they insisted to take selfies and offered to have a cup of tea.
The tennis players remained hopeful to never quit the struggle of ‘Stop War Start Tennis’ slogan and strengthen ties between India and Pakistan.
