The talented 15-year-old Syed Imaad Ali not only defeated his opponents but also marked himself as the world’s youngest scrabble champion to win the World Youth title twice.
Previously, the second-time winner won 5 out of the 6 titles in the Junior World Scrabble Championship held in Torquay, England, in November 2019.
Out of 13 games, Imaad won 9 of them in the final round of the 2nd online Pharmevo World English Scrabble Players Association (WESPA) Youth Cup.

Opening the tournament with an early lead, Imaad soared to the top position with 11 wins and one tie by the completion of the first 12 rounds.
In the championship, around 80 players from 14 countries competed against each other.
Apart from him, two Pakistani players Ali Salman and Usman Shaukat remained in the top 10 till the last round of the championship’s group stage but couldn’t qualify for the next round.
Pakistan Scrabble Association (PSA) President Nadeem Omar announced a prize of Rs 100,000 for Imaad.
“Pakistan is performing extraordinarily in scrabble because there is no involvement of the government in it”, he said.
