Aisam-ul-Haq Qualifies in US Open, Pakistanis Relish Glad Tidings

Pakistan’s professional tennis player Aisam-ul-Haq has qualified into Round of 16 of the US Open and the nation is relishing the glad tidings from sports front.

Aisam-ul-Haq qualified in the US Open along with his British partner JonnyO’Mara and shared the news on his Twitter handle.

In the Round of 16, the duo will meet Marcel Granollers of Spain and Horacio Zeballos from Argentine.

The duo qualified after facing the pair of Sander Gille and Joran Vliegen by 36 63 76 on Saturday.

On the other hand, Pakistani Wrestler Inam Butt won gold for Pakistan in the World Beach Wrestling Championship 2021.

Inam Butt defeated Ukranian wrestler by 3-0 within the 90kg category. He won the championship for the third consecutive time.

Apart from this, para-athlete Haider Ali brought first gold medal for Pakistan in Paralympics.

Haider Ali, while competing in the Summer Paralympic Games in Tokyo, threw a personal best of 55.26 meters.
