All-rounder Shoaib Malik has faced criticism from netizens after posting a satirical post on Pakistan’s defeat against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2022 final match.
Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2022 final by 23 runs, outclassing the Green Shirts’ batting order by a spin attack yesterday.
Shoaib Malik posted a message on Twitter, saying, “When will we come out from friendship, liking & disliking culture. Allah always helps the honest.”

Although, Malik did not mention anyone’s name in his tweet, however, the netizens concluded it as a sharp criticism over the selectors and the skipper for not including him in the team.
Netizens also observed that Malik did not post a single tweet to congratulate or motivate Babar-eleven for winning a lot of matches to get a place in the Asia Cup final but he immediately came forth after witnessing Pakistan’s defeat.
The tweet brought mixed reactions as many users supported his stance and demanded his return to the team to strengthen the middle-order, whereas, others took the message as a satiric post on the new players and the skipper.

It seems like you were waiting (/wishing) for them to loose. Didnt see a single tweet after that memorable win against Afganistan.
