Asia Cup: Umar Gul faces trouble due to unique wish of his wife

The outstanding performance of Afghanistan bowlers in the T20 Asia Cup 2022 led their team to achieve victories in both matches which undoubtedly was the effort of Afghanistan bowling coach Umar Gul.

Nabi-XI bowled out the host team Sri Lanka for 105 runs in 19.4 overs in the first match thanks to the excellent performance of the bowlers.

Afghan bowlers showed good performance in the second match and restricted Bangladesh to 127 runs in 20 overs and easily achieved the target on the third ball of the 19th over.

Looking at the good performance of Afghanistan, fans and cricket experts are of the opinion that Nabi-XI are going to give trouble to big teams like Pakistan and India.

Dr Marium Naqsh, the wife of Afghanistan’s bowling coach Umar Gul, was also among the cricket fans who are worried about Green Shirts’ journey in the Asia Cup.

After the victory against Bangladesh, Umar Gul wrote in his tweet, “Another thriller from the boys. Magnificent all-round performances by each of the players with some amazing fielding takes us to the super 4. Super proud of this team. Just a few more games to win inshaAllah.”

On a lighter note, Gul’s wife Dr Marium Naqsh congratulated him and asked her husband if he should give some relaxation to the Pakistan team in the next match.

Gul managed to reply her by only saying, “Ok”. Dr Naqsh then wrote that she was put into trouble in this situation.
