He also registered the record of the highest score by a Pakistani captain in the 50-over format. Previously, it was held by Shoaib Malik, 125 not out.

Besides this, Babar’s 158 was also the highest score by a Pakistani batsman in England which was previously held by Imam-ul-Haq who scored 151.

It was also the highest score by any captain in a bilateral series on the English soil.

Babar Azam also became the first Pakistani captain in 38 years to score an ODI ton in England. The previous one was Imran Khan in 1983.
