Due to an unimpressive batting performance, the visitors could only drag the lead to 167 as Jayden Seales emerged as a star with 5 wickets in the final inning for his side.

On a pitch that was helping the pacers, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Hasan Ali shined with their bowling to defend the low total.

They got 4 and 3 wickets respectively but couldn’t sail through their side to the victory.

Jermaine Blackwood remained the highest scorer from WI with 55 runs while Kemar Roach’s unbeaten 30 helped the host clinch the victory from the opponent.

Pakistani cricket fans although appreciated their side for putting a tough fight despite a scant total but they called into question the poor captaincy by Babar Azam as well as the poor display of fielding in a crunch situation.

Pakistan dropped 3 catches while defending 167 that certainly cost them the match.

The fans said that the skipper made imprudent choices in bowling as he replaced the bowlers who were taking wickets or building pressure on the opposite side.

They as well as former Pakistani spinner Danish Kaneria asked why Yasir Shah wasn’t introduced for West Indian tail as he could have picked wickets.

Pakistani fans said that the poor captaincy under pressure cost them the defeat against the 7th rank West Indies.
