The Larkana-Express, as he is being nicknamed, has also emerged as somebody who is able to fill the void the national team is facing after unexpected retirement of left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir.
In December last year, the left-arm bowler shocked everybody when he announced his retirement from international cricket on the pretext of mental torture by team management.
With T20 World Cup 2021 scheduled in October, the national side plunged into a predicament as a key bowler in the shortest format of the game bid farewell.
However, Pakistani cricket fans believe that the search is over in the form of Dahani.
The tall fast bowler has given his shot in the ongoing T20 tournament and proved that he is ready to display his heroics for the national side too.
Notably, the Larkana Express was selected in the team for tours of South Africa and Zimbabwe played in the beginning of this year. However, he could not make his debut.
Interestingly, Mohammad Amir had criticized the inclusion of Dahani in the national squad on the basis of performance in few T20 games.
The left-arm fast bowler had recently met Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Wasim Khan and it is being speculated that he might return to international cricket before the mega tournament.
