Grilling Pakistan After First ODI is Unfair as Per Statistician
Pakistani sports statistician Mazher Arshad harked back to the team's performances in the 50-over format in the previous two years
The criticism swarmed the Pakistan team after its defeat in the first One-Day International (ODI) against England having numerous new faces.
The men in green literally collapsed before the inexperienced English side and were booked under 150 which was chased by the host on the loss of a wicket.
The batsman including Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq couldn’t move the scorecard while Fakhar Zaman surrendered before the English bowlers after showing some resistance.
Amid the fury, Pakistani sports statistician Mazher Arshad tried to placate the fans by recalling the records of the Pakistani team in the recent ODIs it has played.

The sports statistician harked back to Pakistan’s performance in the 50-over format in the previous two years. Mazher wrote that Pakistan won each of its three ODI series and lost only two games during the span.

He also highlighted the individual performances of Pakistani batsmen, who failed to put big runs on the board in 1st ODI against England, against the top 6 sides.

The next ODI between England and Pakistan will be played on July 10 at Lord’s Cricket Ground with full capacity.
The novice English side leads the three-match series 1-0 but Pakistan still has the chance to quell anger of the fans and answer criticism it received after one-side defeat in the first ODI.
