Danish Aziz’s Journey to Pakistan Cricket Team

Danish Aziz, a young left-arm batsman from Pakistan, made his T20I debut in the first match of the ongoing T20 series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe played on Wednesday.
Although Danish Aziz did not perform well in his first match and managed to score only 15 runs.
However, on a difficult wicket, he was among three Pakistani batsmen who entered double figures including Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman.

Still, the expectations from the young left-handed batsman are high and fans are waiting for him to perform.
Born on November 20, 1995, in Karachi, Danish Aziz has also represented Pakistan in the Under-19 cricket team.
His first-class career began on December 12, 2014, with Karachi Dolphins while his List A career began with Karachi Whites in the 2016-17 Regional ODI Cup.
He made his international cricket debut in recently-concluded ODI series against South Africa.
Danish Aziz came to the limelight when he played an unbeaten 86-run inning against Islamabad in the 2018 Regional Cup ODI tournament and shared 192 runs partnership with Fawad Alam.
Due to this partnership, Karachi Whites defeated Islamabad and clinched the trophy.
The left-handed batsman was then included in Sindh’s team for Pakistan Cup in April 2018.
In November 2020, he was named in the 35-member squad for New Zealand tour.
Next year in January, he was included in the national squad for T20I series against South Africa.
In March 2021, Danish Aziz was once again included in T20I squad against South Africa and Zimbabwe.
After getting T20I cap against Chevrons, the debutant said “Every cricketer who plays cricket wants to represent his team at international level”.
He added that some get such a chance while some don’t.
However, he was lucky enough that Almighty Allah provided him the opportunity.
Danish Aziz also thanked the Pakistan cricket team captain, coach and management for entrusting him and vowed to do his best to meet their expectations.
