England Cricket Board (ECB) is under criticism of Englishmen for being ungrateful towards Pakistan by canceling the tour scheduled in October.
The former cricketers, commentators, and sports journalists of British descent have criticized ECB for canceling the tour to Pakistan.
Mark Butcher, Mike Atherton, George Dobell, Peter Oborne and others including ex-women cricketers have scathed their own country for pulling out from Pakistan’s tour.

Former English cricketer Mike Atherton wrote in his article that English cricket has failed to repay a debt they owed to Pakistan.
Former English women’s team captain Charlotte Edwards and player Ebony Rainford-Brent said that ECB seems to have a short memory as Pakistan visited England at the height of the covid-19 pandemic, from the low-risk area to the highest risk area.

British Journalist George Dobell termed the announcement by ECB as ‘a culture of double-standards which appears to view some nations are far less important than others.’
He referred to the tragedy before the match of India and Pakistan in The Champions Trophy in 2017 in which 11 people died and around 50 were injured.
British High Commissioner to Pakistan Christian Turner also shared that the high commission did not change its travel advisory for Pakistan.
