Despite setbacks in the first inning, Pakistan managed to level the 2-match series by winning the second test against West Indies (WI) by a huge margin of 109 runs.
After losing 3 wickets on 2 runs in the first inning, the visitors emerged as the victorious side with some impressive individual performances from skipper Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Fawad Alam.
In the first inning, the partnership between Babar Azam and Fawad Alam rescued the side while Shaheen Afridi didn’t let the West Indian batsmen settle and took 6 wickets to book the hosts on 150 runs.

On the last day of the final test, the collective efforts of the Pakistani bowling unit didn’t let the hosts reach the target of 329 runs and packed them up on 219.
Pakistan also protected its record of not losing a test series against the Caribbean side since 2001.
This is the second instance when a side has won a test match after losing at least 3 wickets for 2 runs in the first inning. The first such instance also happened with Pakistan against India in Karachi in 2006.
Shaheen Shah Afridi was crowned the man of the series for his 18 wickets in the series, most by a Pakistani pacer in a 2-match series.
Similarly, the left-arm pacer’s figures in the match were 94/10 which is also the best by a Pakistani pacer after 2006.
The last 10-wicket haul was by Mohammad Asif who registered figures of 71/11 against Sri Lanka in 2006.
Some 66 wickets were bagged by the fast bowlers in the 2-match series.
This is the second instance after the series between India and New Zealand in 2013-2014 when 67 wickets were shared by the fast bowlers of both teams.
Pakistani cricket fans are also over the world on the phenomenal comeback of their team in the second test against West Indies to claim victory.
