Fans Sigh Relief as Aqib Javed Not to Coach National Side

Former test cricketer Aqib Javed will not be appointed as the head coach of the national side over which the fans are quite happy.

The post of head coach of Pakistan’s cricket team is still vacant and Mathew Hayden and Vernon Philander have been appointed as ad-hoc coaches for the T20 World Cup.

The media reports said the former fast-bowler had shown keen interest in becoming the coach of the Pakistani cricket team but the fans never wanted it to happen, citing performances of Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

However, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja has some other plans for the former pacer and he will be appointed as the head of the National High-Performance Centre (NHPC).

The Pakistani cricket fans have also taken a sigh of relief at this as they did not want to see Aqib as the head coach.

The fans say they have seen Aqib Javed as the head coach of Lahore Qalandars and the performance of the PSL franchise is a testimony of his skills.
