HBL PSL 8: Qalandars magic works, defeat Islamabad United by 110 runs
In the 16th match of PSL 8, Lahore Qalandars defeated Islamabad United by 110 runs and won the first position on the points table.
Chasing the target of 201 runs by Lahore Qalandars, the team of Islamabad United collapsed for 90 runs.
In the match played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Shaheen Shah Afridi won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 200 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the scheduled overs.

Abdullah Shafiq of Lahore Qalandars scored the most 45 runs, Fakhar Zaman scored 36 runs and Sam Billings scored 33 runs. Tom Curran took three wickets and Shadab Khan took two wickets from Islamabad.

In response, none of Islamabad’s players could play well in front of Lahore’s bowlers and the entire team was dismissed for 90. Rahmanullah Garbaz was the top scorer with 23 runs. On behalf of Lahore, David Wiese took three wickets while Sikandar Raza and Rashid Khan took two wickets each. Lahore Qalandar’s all-rounder David Wiese was declared the best player of the match.
