In 13th match of PSL 8, Islamabad United defeated Quetta Gladiator in a one-sided match thanks to Azam Khan’s smoky innings of 97 runs.
Quetta Gladiators team was bowled out by scoring 157 runs in pursuit of a target of 221 runs.
In the match played at the National Bank Arena in Karachi, Islamabad United won the Nets and decided to bat first and scored 220 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Asif Ali got out after scoring 42 runs with the help of 4 sixes in 24 balls while Azam Khan played an innings of 97 runs in 42 balls with the help of 8 sixes and 9 fours and was only 3 runs away from the century on the last ball of the innings. Boldly succumbed to the nervous nineties.

Amil Khan and Muhammad Hasnain of Quetta Gladiators proved to be expensive bowlers and both gave away 55 and 52 runs respectively. Quetta Gladiators were bowled out for 157 runs chasing a target of 221 runs. Mohammad Hafeez scored 48 runs while Sarfraz Ahmed scored 41 runs and Mohammad Iftikhar scored 39 runs.
On behalf of Islamabad, Fazal Haq Farooqui and Hasan Ali dismissed 3, 3 players while Shadab Khan and Abrar Ahmed took two wickets each. Azam Khan was adjudged the man of the match for his brilliant batting.
