Not India, ICC Men’s T20 WC 2021 Moves to UAE & Oman

The main reason behind the shift of venue is due to the second wave of covid-19 in India that made BCCI suspend the IPL in the mid of May

International Cricket Council (ICC) Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 was previously scheduled in India but the council has recently updated the venue for the mega event and it will be now be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman.

The purpose of changing the venue of the tournament is due to the second wave of covid-19 in India that forced the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to suspend the Indian Premier League (IPL) in mid of May.

The tournament is set to be played from October 17 to November 14 and BCCI confirmed to continue hosting the event.
