Soon after New Zealand called off its tour of Pakistan due to a security alert, not only the nation but international cricketers also stood up for the host country, declaring it safe for everyone.

The Kiwi team was set to play 3 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 5 T20Is in Rawalpindi and Lahore as part of its tour of Pakistan.

Though the toss of the first game was scheduled at 2 pm, it couldn’t proceed as the Kiwi intelligence agency conveyed the security threat alert.
