SPORTS DESK: Former Pakistan captain and chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq says Baber Azam is a great batsman but he has to improve his batting skills.
Inzamam-ul-Haq says that as a captain and star batsman baber should have concluded the third ODI against Zimbabwe himself.
Inzamam-ul-Haq said, “Babar Azam, as a senior player, should have kept the strike to himself as much as possible because he plays good ground shots.
Commenting further Chief selector further said that Baber must realize that different type of cricket is required in the last overs of the game.
He said that when you are chasing a target, you need to maintain the average and for that you have to play big shots.
After losing the game, Pakistan’s one-day cricket captain Babar Azam lamented the team’s defeat in the last match of the series against Zimbabwe despite scoring a magnificent century.
Talking to Rameez Raja after the final battle, Babar Azam said that we had won the first two matches but today we have lost because of our wrong judgement.
Babar Azam said, “We did not finish the match well because of few mistakes. We did not do the way we were supposed to do in batting, but when Wahab Riaz and I had a partnership, we two must had finish the match with win.
Referring to the Super Over, the captain of the Pakistan team said that Fakhr Zaman, Iftikhar Ahmed and Khushdal Shah are the aggressive batsmen. We decided to send them because they can play big shots.
