Prominent sports journalists of Pakistan have mixed opinions on selection of Azam Khan, son of ex-captain of national cricket team Moin Khan, and his antogonits are trying to build that he is just a ‘parchi’.

The 21-year-old batsman has been selected in Pakistan’s T20 squad for England and West Indies tours despite several fingers were pointed at his fitness.

Sports journalist Yahya Hussaini raised the topic of Azam Khan’s selection and posted the batsman’s photo that he had posted in April.

Yahya zeroed in the caption of Azam Khan’s photo and noted how sure he was to get selected in the national side.

On the other side, Pakistan’s first female cricket anchor Aalia Rasheed felicitated the 21-year-old uncapped batsman and wished him to keep evolving.

Further, Geo News sports correspondent Sohail Imran expressed that a young cricketer should not be criticized just because of his link with any former cricketer.

Aalia Rasheed endorsed this and responded that a person should not be blamed if his relative turns out talented.

Notably, Azam Khan, who is the son of former wicketkeeper-batsman Moin Khan, turned everybody in his favor as well as the selectors with his Pakistan Super League (PSL) heroics.

Following this, cricket fans had become vocal for his inclusion in the national team before T20 World Cup.
