Karachi Braces For Traffic Jams During Pak-SA Test Match
Citizens of the metropolis believe that the wardens do not control the movement and instead become a silent spectator when roads get choked
The cricket lovers are going to celebrate the return of South Africa (SA) in Pakistan after 14 years but at the same time, the citizens of Karachi would be aching due to the traffic jams for five days of the Pak-SA test match at the National Stadium starting today.
It was even experienced during the practice days after both teams arrived at the National Stadium Karachi.
Karachi City Traffic Police (CTP) has although issued a traffic plan providing alternative routes to the commuters, however, the citizens of the metropolis believe that the wardens do not control the movement and instead become a silent spectator when roads get choked.
Since Tuesday morning, all the routes leading to the National Stadium have been closed using containers and other obstacles for the Pak-SA test match and expected to create traffic jams as the people will leave for homes from workplaces.
The main thoroughfares of the city including University Road and Shahrah-e-Faisal have been blocked at various points. The commuters faced difficulties due to congestion and reached their destinations late.
Now, they are anxious to think that they would have to go through the same every day for five days.

Most of them have criticized that the foreign team shouldn’t have been invited if the matches were to be organized at the expense of the troubling citizens.
Further, the trophy of the test series to be awarded to the winner has earned a lot of criticism.

The locals jibed that if the test series was to be played for this trophy, it should not have been.
