Karachi Kings finally wins against Lahore Qalandar after 3 consecutive defeats

Chasing target of 186 runs by Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars all out by scoring 118 runs in 18th over. Captain Imad Wasim, who scored 35 runs and took one wicket, was declared best player of the match

After 3 consecutive defeats at home in PSL 8, Karachi Kings finally won their first match against rivals Lahore Qalandars.

Chasing the target of 186 runs by Karachi Kings, the team of Lahore Qalandars was dismissed by scoring 118 runs in the 18th over. Due to the victory by a huge margin of 67 runs, Karachi Kings moved to second place in the points table on the basis of a better run rate despite losing 3 matches.

Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi won the toss and decided to bowl first in the match played at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi. While Haider Ali played an innings of 18 runs and Shoaib Malik played 10 runs.

James Vince was dismissed for 46 runs while Ben Cutting could score 20 runs, Imad Wasim played an innings of 35 runs off 19 balls. Shaheen Afridi, Zaman Khan, Haris Rauf and Liam Dawson took one wicket each for Lahore Qalandars.

Apart from Mirza Tahir Baig from Lahore Qalandars, none of the batsmen could compete against the bowlers of Karachi Kings.

On behalf of Karachi Kings, Akif Javed bowled brilliantly and dismissed 4 players while Aamir Yamin and Ben Cutting took two wickets each, Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim got one wicket each. Captain Imad Wasim of the match. Adjudged the best player.
