Multan Sultans proved themselves a tough team by grabbing the third consecutive win over Quetta Sarfraz Ahmed-led Quetta Gladiators in a tense match yesterday. Sultans topped the PSL point table after their recent win.

Despite the early departure of skipper and star batsman Mohammad Rizwan, who is also the top ICC T20I batsman, Multan Sultans successfully tested their middle-order line-up, giving a reasonable 175-run target to Gladiators after opening batsman Shan Masood’s 88 off 57 balls.

A tough fight is expected between the heavyweights, Islamabad United and Multan Sultans today at the National Stadium Karachi. United grabbed a stormy nine-wicket victory over Peshawar Zalmi for the 169-run chase, outclassing the opponent team with a brilliant performance in all fields.

Kings have fallen to lowest on the PSL point table after facing three consecutive defeats.
