Mushtaq Ahmed Sends Heart Warming Message On Twitter

Former Pakistan cricketer Mushtaq Ahmed in a heartwarming video message has asked people to respect and honor their parents, the video was shared on Twitter.

In the video message shared by senior journalist Rauf Klasra, Mushtaq Ahmed talked about his late parents and how he misses them every day.

The former player said he had a humble family background and his family wasn’t well off.

The house they lived in only had one room and his father was a laborer. His father earned Rs100 a day and had 8 people to feed at home.

Mushtaq Ahmed said, “I was obsessed with cricket but I didn’t have a bat, I used to play matches without shoes which often hurt my feet. My father got upset seeing this and bought me a bat and a proper cricket attire.”

He further added, “I often saw my father in secret working as a laborer in the Sahiwal grain market. When my father used to come home from work, seeing the limited food at home, my mother used to tell us to eat less but our father used to respond that he has already eaten so that we could eat properly.”

Admiring his father’s love for his children, Mushtaq Ahmed added, “My father did not eat for many nights so that he saved money to buy clothes and books for his children.”

Remembering his mother, Mushtaq Ahmed mentioned how she did not make new clothes for herself on countless occasions but for his sisters.

Towards the end of the video, the former cricket requested everyone to respect their parents as they are the most important after Allah and the Prophet (SAW).

He added that his late parents were not with him in this world anymore and encouraged everyone to be tolerant towards their parents, deal with them patiently and avoid offending them at all costs.
