Netizens think Shaheen Shah Afridi was harassed by female spectator
Netizens thought that the famous Pakistani pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi was actually harassed by a female spectator by a poster.
When it comes to the posters and placards brought by cricket fans to the field, everyone watching the television screens get amused after reading its content and cameramen in the stadium remain in search for the most interesting messages by the spectators to their darling players.
However, this poster is seemingly giving a wrong message as per the netizens after a woman brought a poster saying, “Shaheen Cutu, Idhar Aao Tumhein Cerelac Khilaon.” It read, “Cute Shaheen! Please come here so I can feed you cerelac [newborn cereal].”
Some got the message as funny but others thought it was derogation of the globally famous Pakistani pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi by the female spectator during the ongoing Test match between Pakistan and Australia.
Some netizens expressed anger over the content of the poster and called it harassment from the female spectator. The side thought that a man bringing the same poster would be criticised for its content but the spectator was given an edge just because of being a woman.
Ramsha Hassan commented, “Why the face is cropped. boys get shamed if they do something like this. thn why not this lady.”
Rida Shahid wrote, “This is harassment #saynotoharassment”
“Imagine this was done by some guy to a female cricketer the outrage would’ve been different,” says Hamza Khan Khattak.
Rahat Ali wrote, “Very disrespectful. If females do it: just laugh it’s ok. If males do the same thing to a female cricketer: entire male race is disrespectful bla bla bla. Double standards for Pakistanis.”
