After becoming the first Asian team to win two bilateral ODI series against South Africa on its land, Pakistan has the chance to beat rookie-Proteas in the T20I series kicking-off today.
South Africa is languished by injuries of experienced players while absence of key players, who have joined the Indian Premier League (IPL), just added insult to the injury, posing as the brightest chance for Pakistan to defeat Proteas in T20I series at their home.
The released players include Kagiso Rabada, Quinton de Kock, David Miller, Lungi Ngidi, and Anrich Nortje.

Meanwhile, the hosts have been unluckier as Captain Temba Bavuma and Dwaine Pretorius, who impressed with 17-5 figures in Lahore, will not be part of the T20I squad owing to injuries.
Besides them, as ICC reported, “Rassie van der Dussen has remained with the squad but he is currently battling a quad injury, and Reeza Hendricks has withdrawn following the birth of his first child”.
South African Coach Mark Boucher is still expecting a fight from the young and inexperienced team.
He believes that the absence of key players is an opportunity for hungry-opportunity-seeking youngsters who have waited long on the benches.
However, the bad luck for Proteas is an opportunity for the visitors who have the chance to register a T20I series win after ODIs.
The last T20I series between both teams was played in Pakistan in February. Pakistan had won the home series 2-1.
