Then, Fawad Alam rescued the batting side with an unhurried 50 runs while Mohammad Rizwan scored an agile 23 runs with 5 boundaries.
After Rizwan falling, Faheem Ashraf resisted from the bottom with Fawad and added 44 runs on the scoreboard.
However, the partnership of 85 was broken when the all-rounder unluckily got run out and Fawad lost his wicket on 56 as well.
The visitors were folded on 217 runs in Jamaica as Jason Holder and Jayden Seales got 3 wickets each.
Kemar Roach claimed 2 wickets including the important wicket of Pakistani skipper Babar Azam.
Happy to book Pakistan within a chaseable trail, tides turned against the host as the first day came to a closure.
Pakistani pacer Mohammad Abbas sent Kieran Powell and Nkrumah Bonner to the pavilion without letting them open their accounts. The right-arm pacer did not concede any run in the two overs he bowled.
