Pakistani MMA Fighter Anita Karim bags big victory in Thailand

Pakistan’s MMA fighter Anita Karim bagged a big victory in Thailand’s Lumpinee Boxing Stadium of Bangkok as she beat her Australian opponent.

Pakistan’s first professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, Anita Karim, has bagged a big victory in Thailand’s Lumpinee Boxing Stadium of Bangkok as she beat her Australian opponent.

Anita Karim is professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter who hails from Gilgit-Baltistan’s Hunza and is the first Pakistani MMA fighter who got successful in Bangkok’s Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.

She defeated her Australian opponent Uyen Ha in the contest held under the banner of Fairtex Fight Promotion in the minimum weight category. During three rounds, Karim remained dominant over her opponent. She was declared the winner through a unanimous decision.

Following her victory, the MMA fighter wrote on Twitter, “Another one, Alhumdulillah! All praises to the Almighty and a big thank you to everyone who showed love and support. Huge shoutout to my team @fairtexofficial for the knowledge and pushing me every single day to get better!”

Her brother, Uloomi Karim said, “Anita Karim getting another W after putting on a clinic today at Fairtex Fight Promotion in Bangkok, Thailand. P.s. Anita is the only female Pakistani (and one of the VERY FEW women in the WORLD) to have fought at the world famous Lumpinee Stadium!”

Anita Karim fought her first professional fight in 2018 and she is the only woman among over 300 MMA fighters in Pakistan who came from a family of MMA fighters. She has been training in the Fairtex Training Centre, Pattaya for a couple of years.
