Chairmanship Brings Trials & Tabulations For Ramiz
Former Pakistani batsman Ramiz Raja was elected as the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board on September 13 but the first week hasn't been smooth for him
PCB Chairmanship is proving to be a bumpy road for Ramiz Raja who is facing trials and tabulations right after assuming the charge.
Former Pakistani batsman Ramiz Raja was elected as the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on September 13. However, the first week hasn’t been a smooth ride for the ex-commentator.
He assumed the post ahead of the T20 World Cup scheduled in October.
Coaches Misbah-ul-Haq and Waqar Younis bid farewell to the team at a critical hour and right recruitment on vital posts emerged as the first challenge for the new chairman.

Ramiz Raja announced the names of Mathew Hayden and Vernon Philander as the head coach and bowling coach of the national side respectively for the world cup.
However, the appointment of permanent coaches for Pakistan after the mega event is still an impending task in which Ramiz Raja has to get through.
He had started to settle to implement his plans when the sudden call-off of the tour by New Zealand poured water on all preparations.
Like the rest of the nation, the PCB chairman expressed his frustration on Twitter.
Crazy day it has been! Feel so sorry for the fans and our players. Walking out of the tour by taking a unilateral approach on a security threat is very frustrating. Especially when it’s not shared!! Which world is NZ living in??NZ will hear us at ICC.

After Kiwi’s saga, the next big challenge for Ramiz Raja will be to convince sides like England, West Indies, and Australia to visit Pakistan.
It will also be another trial for him and his team to actively pursue Pakistan’s case in tour cancelation issue at International Cricket Council (ICC) and get out with a good compensation.
