Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has shared how Green Shirts reshaped the face of T20I cricket in 2021.

LAHORE: Amid the celebration of a whitewash against West Indies in the T20I home series, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has shared how Green Shirts reshaped the face of Twenty20 cricket in 2021.

In a Twitter message, the cricket board elaborated Green Shirts’ achievements this year, saying, “Our Champions reshaped the face of T20I Cricket in 2021. Have a brief look at their record-breaking performance. Which player stole the show according to you?”

According to the statistics, the batsmen of the Pakistani men’s team scored 4,020 runs as compared to the other teams, whereas, skipper Babar Azam remained in the second position with the figure of 147 among batsmen across the world who hit most sixes.

Wicketkeeper-cum-batsman Mohammad Rizwan clinched the record of the only player who crossed the 1000-run mark in a calendar year by scoring 1,326 runs.

Moreover, Babar Azam and Rizwan made a record partnership of 197 runs against South Africa in April which is the highest for the first wicket.

In another achievement, Pakistan recorded 20 wins, the most for a side in T20 format.

In T20 World Cup, Pakistan defeated India by 10 wickets, whereas, Mohammad Rizwan (1,328) and Babar Azam (939) became the top run-scorers in T20Is this year.

The other achievements include 347 number of fours Pakistan batters have struck which is the most for any team, the 122-run highest score in an inning by Babar Azam, 16 catches by Babar Azam, 22 catches by Mohammad Rizwan as a keeper, 12 half-centuries by Mohammad Rizwan and his batting average of 73.86 per cent which is the best of anyone with 500 runs.
