PSL to Catch up With TikTok & Facebook For Global Outreach
Fans can see live coverage of matches on Facebook and TikTok users can generate relevant content
Following a successful start of the remaining matches in Abu Dhabi from June 9, PSL has shaken hands with TikTok and Facebook to engage with cricket lovers.
A statement from the press release reads that PCB and PSL are looking for ways to entertain their fans worldwide and both have agreed upon partnering with short-form video-sharing service TikTok and social media site Facebook.
In this regard, Facebook will be responsible to handle the broadcast globally throughout the 20 remaining matches and will also explore new avenues for PCB to generate more revenues.

With a one-time subscription of $4.99, people can get access to live coverage through Facebook’s Paid Online events service.
Apart from Facebook, TikTok has also partnered with PSL and so far, the official anthem of PSL 6 titled Groove Mera has received more than 1.7 billion views on the application.

The PCB commercial director Babar Hamid said, “TikTok is one of the most emerging social media apps, not only in Pakistan but globally”.
The video-sharing service will be committed to develop relevant content for its users that are following the league.
