Ramiz Seeks Medical Aid For Tauseef, Harsha Endorsed
Ramiz Raja drew attention of PCB to arrange health insurance for ex-players who played in an era when the sport was not commercialized

Pakistani former cricketer Tauseef Ahmed was hospitalized at a private hospital in Lahore after suffering a cardiac arrest and former cricketer and commentator Ramiz Raja asked authorities to arrange medical insurance for veteran cricketers.
Tauseef traveled from Karachi to Lahore a few days back to attend a wedding where he suffered a cardiac arrest.
Initially, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a private hospital, Dr Sabir Malik, said the former test cricketer was an asthma pateint and the doctors had inserted a stent some three years ago.
He said that Tauseef did not need to undergo angioplasty or a bypass operation. However, the next few hours were still critical, the doctor added.
Moreover, the sports journalist Faizan Lakhani tweeted prayers for former test cricketer, who was admitted to hospital after his health deteriorated.

Pakistani former capitan Sarfaraz Ahmed took to Twitter to update on ex-cricketer’s health.

In addition to it, Pakistani cricket commentator, Ramiz Raja also wished recovery to Ahmed but highlighted the financial aspect of the treatment.
After seeing the condition of the 62-year-old cricketer, Raja questioned the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to arrange health insurance for current as well as ex-players, who have served the country and brought prestige.

Tauseef Ahmed played 34 Test matches and 70 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) between 1980 and 1993 for Pakistan.
