In the overall head-to-head record comprising 107 contests, Pakistan has been the winner in 55 matches while Kiwis have been victorious in 48 games.

The green shirts are going to compete against the top 50-over format team however the side is without its star players including Kane Williamson and Trent Boult.

This will give Pakistan an advantage over the visitors apart from playing in the home conditions.

Kiwis have not played an ODI series in Asia since 2018 and they met Pakistan in the last in 2018 which drew 1-1.

The 3-match series has been excluded from the ODI World Super League due to the absence of the DRS system.

Pakistan will be under immense pressure to offset the results of the last 50-over series it played against novice English side but got whitewashed.

Pakistan’s record in the last 5 ODIs looks poor with only one win while on the contrary, the Kiwis were the losing side in only a single match.

Pakistani skipper Babar Azam said they will play aggressive cricket against New Zealand.
