Ronaldo Lost Cool Over Goal Denial, Walked-Off Field Early
The goal was turned down by the referee and the football star could only complain due to the absence of goal-line technology
Cristiano Ronaldo took off his captain’s armband in anger and smashed it in the ground as he left the field after a goal denial against Serbia in World Cup 2022 qualifier that could have led his team to a win.
The Portuguese star believed he had just scored a later winner against Serbia in World Cup 2022 qualifying round.
But, it was turned down by the referee and Ronaldo could only complain due to the absence of goal-line technology in the qualifying matches.

Ronaldo was sure he had scored a last-moment thriller in the third minute of the stoppage time but the match ended 2-2 due to goal denial and the world saw an infuriated football star smashing his captain’s armband in the ground.
