Sarfaraz Ahmed, the first Pakistani captain since Imran Khan to win a 50-over world title, received a bizarre welcome from the netizens as he reunited with his PSL team Quetta Gladiators in Abu Dhabi on June 7. 

Previously, the former national team captain and other 10 players from Lahore were confined to travel to UAE as PCB management asked them to remain in quarantine at the hotel before their departure.

Later, the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) granted a special travel permit to PCB for allowing the players to become a part of the PSL.

Exhilarated upon Sarfaraz Ahmed’s arrival in UAE, team Quetta Gladiators posted his photo, in which he is suited in team kit lugging two heavy bags and a suitcase.

Leading team Quetta Gladiators as a captain, Sarfaraz Ahmed believes that the prosperity of the team is more pivotal for him than individual grandeur.

The internet took Sarfaraz’s photo by storm and immediately, the post turned into comical and humorous tales.

Earlier, the 34-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman had been trolled after being caught on camera yawning during India-Pakistan match in ICC Champions Trophy 2019.

However, this time, Sarfaraz became the talk of the town as internet users made hilarious connections of his photo with thousand situations, bragging from a visit to grandmother’s house to the volume of emotional baggage before entering into the next relationship.
