CM Murad unveils plan to launch Sindh team for PSL

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has unveiled the plan of launching a team from the province for Pakistan’s T20-format mega cricketing event Pakistan Super League (PSL).

CM Murad Ali Shah announced the plan of launching a Sindh team for PSL during a meeting with Shahnawaz Dahani, an emerging young pacer from Larkana who is now part of the Pakistan squad, who called on him on Monday.

He said that the provincial government wants to create an environment to reach talented individuals across Sindh who need proper promotion and encouragement.

The chief minister vowed to Shahnawaz Dahani that the government will promote him in all intent and purposes so that he can be focused on sports. He also promised to promote the spin bowler Noman from Sanghar and others.

He added that the new PSL franchise from Sukkur and will soon find a sponsor.

Shahnawaz Dahani wrote on Twitter, “I am thankful to @CM_Sindh for inviting me and my Family at @SindhCMHouse, & rewarding me with CM Sindh medal and presenting all of us a beautiful Sindhi Topi and Ajrak. It was moment of great honor and pride for me and my Family.”
