After stupendous performances by Fawad Alam following his return to the national cricket team after over a decade, sports journalist Mirza Iqbal Baig fears that two young players from Sindh may face the same fate as the left-handed batsman.
The senior sports journalist Mirza Iqbal Baig shared the photo of Shahnawaz Dahani and Zahid Mahmood and expressed his fear.
In his tweet, the journalist said that all players including Sajid Khan, Azam Khan, Saud Shakeel, and others got the chance to play for the Pakistani side.

He asked if both players are just carried with the team for the change in environment.
A Twitter user commented that both players from Sindh aren’t getting the chance in the team as they do not have any source.
Another user remarked that Fawad Alam, who was from Karachi, was also deliberately ignored by the team management for a decade and he is showing his maverick after making it to the side.
ایک تو سندھی ہیں دوسرا پرفارمر ہیں تیسرا انکا کوئی دوست رشتیدار نہیں ہینا کوئی سابق کرکٹر یا کپتان جو ان ہیروں کو موقع دیں😢😢

Some users raised the point that players from Sindh aren’t given an equal chance in the national side like those from other provinces.
Like Mirza Iqbal Baig, the users also feared that both young players from Sindh may have to face the same fate as Fawad Alam.
The left-handed batsman was dropped from the team in 2009 and returned in 2020 and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was heavily criticized for ignoring him while some accused the cricket board of ethnic prejudice.
Former West Indian cricketer Samuel Badree also indicated the injustice with Fawad Alam after he scored the 5th century of his career in the second test against West Indies and rescued the visiting side in the first inning.
Consider a Test century on debut and dropped after 3 tests. Consider a first class average over 60 since 2010 and not selected for test team. And finally consider 5 test centuries in 8 tests after a hiatus of 11 years. Persistence personified. @TheRealPCB
