Stadium Named After Modi Shrunk to Only Two Day Match

The test match between India and England lasted for two days after Motera Stadium was named after Modi

After the Motera Cricket Stadium in India was renamed to Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium, the ongoing Test match ended in a two-day match as England has been knocked out of the final of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Test Championship after losing to India in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.  

The third day and night match of the four-Test series was played from Wednesday to Thursday, which the Indian team won by 10 wickets.

The Indians easily achieved the target of 49 runs given by England.

Cricketer, Rohit Sharma remained unbeaten on 25 and Shubman Gill on 15.

In the third Test match between India and England which started on Wednesday, the Indian bowlers were once again in the name and the England team piled up on just 81 runs.

The highlight of the match was that out of the 30 wickets that fell in two days, 28 wickets were taken by spin bowlers.

After the defeat from India, the England cricket team is out of the game for the ICC Test Championship while the Indian team has reached the final of the Championship.

Motera Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad has been titled after Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in which the two-day match was held.

The stadium has been popular for a seating capacity of 132,000 cricket lovers.

Earlier, the award was given to the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) with a seating capacity of 100,000.

The Indian cricket team will now play New Zealand in the final of the ICC Test Championship at the historic Lord’s ground in June this year.
