According to the press release issued by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), following are the six new and young players who would be part of PSL 6 in Abu Dhabi.
Ahmed Daniyal – Lahore Qalandars
Right-arm pacer Ahmed Daniyal is going to represent Lahore Qalandars after management reposed its trust and confidence in him.
Previously, Ahmed had played for Qalandars in a T20 tournament in Abu Dhabi before the start of the HBL PSL 6.
“For the Abu Dhabi leg, I aim to continue my progress and deliver the role assigned to me”, Ahmed said.
Mohammad Imran – Peshawar Zalmi
A young fast bowler from Swat, Imran will play for Peshawar Zalm while his economy is 7.05.
With his performance in the Pakistan-leg of the tournament, the pacer had shown that a spark lies within him.
“The Abu Dhabi-leg would be another big challenge but I am very keen on continuing my progress and learn more about bowling in the format and make significant contributions for my team”, Imran said.
Saim Ayub – Quetta Gladiators
The Karachi-born left-handed opener Saim Ayub is the third in the list who is going to represent Gladiators.
The opener scored a valuable 23 in a 69-run opening stand with Usman Khan against Sultans. This match was the only victory of his team in the season.
“Now in the Abu Dhabi-leg I would want to utilize the experience I gained in Karachi and ensure that I contribute to the team’s cause”, Saim said.
Mohammad Haris – Karachi Kings
Haris, who had been part of the Pakistan U19 squad for the World Cup, hails from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and he is going to be a part of Karachi Kings.
“I am absolutely thrilled to join PSL 6. Karachi Kings is a big franchise with some of the biggest names in the game and to rub shoulders with them will be nothing short of a dream coming true for me”, Haris said.
Sohaibullah – Multan Sultans
The left-armer Sohaibullah is selected by Multan Sultans on the basis of the impressive records he holds in the domestic cricket.
“We had a bit of a struggle in Karachi but we are more than capable of making a strong comeback in Abu Dhabi, and I have the confidence in my skills of delivering as per my captain and coach’s plan”, Sohaibullah said.
Zeeshan Zameer – Islamabad United
The fast bowler Zeeshan Zameer, who was named in the Pakistan U19 team for the tour of Bangladesh last month, will play for Islamabad United.
United is risking over Zeeshan, who failed to prove his skills in the 2016 and 2018 editions.
“Our team did very well in Karachi and we have a real chance of qualifying for the playoffs and eventually winning the trophy for the third time”, Zeeshan said.
