Out of eight Pakistanis competing in the second online World Youth Scrabble Championship, only two of the scrabble players have qualified for the finals.
The participants had been battling through 36 grueling games scheduled between August 7 and 22.
From Canada, Noah Slatkoff ended the group stages on the top spot with 29 wins and a spread of 3,499 whereas Napat Vatjaranurathorn of Thailand was second in the list with 28 wins and a spread of 3,130.
Listing Pakistanis, Syed Imaad Ali is on the third rank with 27 wins and a spread of 2,616 and Hasham Hadi Khan qualified for the finals with 26 wins and a spread of 1,948.

Two more Pakistani players, Ali Salman and Usman Shaukat, managed to remain in the top ten till the last round but were unfortunate to continue.
Among the ten qualifiers for the finals, two players belong to Pakistan, Thailand, and India each whereas one each is from Canada, Hong Kong, Australia, and Sri Lanka.
Scheduled to be played on Aug 21 and 22, all qualifiers including Pakistanis will be playing nine games each in the finals of the Scrabble Championship.
