Why ECB Cancelled This Year’s Pakistan Tour?
In the latest development, the English board has disclosed that the cricketer's team would happily tour the country next year and complete the scheduled matches
England Cricket Board (ECB) has announced to continue next year’s Pakistan tour after the previous one was cancelled over security concerns.
Following New Zealand’s unpredictable pullout after reaching Pakistan, English cricket authorities withdrew women and men’s tours to Pakistan.
The former cricketers, commentators, and sports journalists of British descent criticized ECB for canceling the tour to Pakistan and for being ungrateful towards the country.
However, in the latest development, the English board has disclosed that the teams would happily tour the country next year and complete the scheduled matches.

In this regard, Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry reached out to his Twitter handle and labeled the apology by ECB as a great achievement in Pakistan’s cricket history.
He thanked all cricketers, diplomats, and international media who supported his country in the whole matter.

Some cricket experts are saying that the decision was made after Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi formally conveyed Pakistan’s concern to the British government.
The cricket fans are calling into question if the Indian Premier League (IPL) was the reason for the cancellation of the tour after the English board has agreed to visit Pakistan next year.
