“The grassroots cricket level tier deserves attention as it has been a neglected field for years, resulting in marginalizing our growth canvas. Under my watch, cricket nurseries will have permanent importance”, he said.

He said all six regional coaches will not have any role in selection during the upcoming possible changes in the current set-up.

Further, he warned the coaches that performance would be the only way to stay with the cricket board.

During the meeting, Ramiz mentioned that PCB will soon come up with its selection policy and things will be clarified in due course.

Earlier, Misbah-ul-Haq and Waqar Younis resigned as head coach and bowling coach respectively and the fresh resignation has come from Wasim Khan as board’s CEO who was unhappy over cut in powers.

Seeing all these changes, cricket analysts wonder whether Ramiz Raja will be able to revive cricket and eliminate loopholes in the system.
