The 2023 World Cup will begin between the teams that played the 2019 final. The 2019 final was played between England and New Zealand.

The league matches will be played in 10 different cities across India, and two more cities are likely to host warm-up games before the main event.

According to the ICC schedule, Ahmedabad will host the final while the semi-finals will be played in Mumbai and Kolkata.

A total of 10 teams will participate in the ICC mega event, the first eight teams have already qualified through the Cricket World Cup Super League.

Apart from the first eight teams to qualify directly, two will be announced at the end of the qualifier tournament being played in Zimbabwe. The qualifier round will end on July 9.
