Young Pakistani cueist Ahsan Ramzan wins IBSF World Snooker Championship

A young Pakistan cueist Ahsan Ramzan has won IBSF Under-21 World Snooker Championship 2022 after defeating Iranian cueist Amir Sarkosh.

DOHA: A young Pakistan cueist Ahsan Ramzan has won IBSF Under-21 World Snooker Championship 2022 after defeating Iranian cueist Amir Sarkosh 6-5 in the final comprising of 11 frames in a see-saw battle.

In the interesting contest between the Pakistani and Iranian cueists, Ramzan sealed 2-0 lead in the first two frames which was levelled by Sarkosh with his comeback with 2-2 in the consecutive frames.

Sarkosh continued advancements to take a lead of 4-2 in the frames by 68-28 and 66-27 respectively.

Ahsan Ramzan later outclassed Amir Sarkosh with 69-0 and then dominated the game and won the final frame 67-25.

Ahsan Ramzan belongs to Lahore and has U16, U17, and U18 titles under his belt. It was his international debut by playing the IBSF World Snooker Championship.
