The common reason for changing officials is their performance but the Lahore Capital City Police Office (CCPO) was removed for an unprecedented ‘error’ that could have caused Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar his life. Sources told News360 that controversial Lahore CCPO Umar Sheikh was removed for deploying a handicapped policeman on the personal security of Usman Buzdar.
The deployed security official made way in the Punjab police on disabled quota, sources informed.
For this Lahore CCPO had to bear the brunt and he was sacked from his post just after three months.
Besides this, sources in the government also confirmed that many complaints had piled up against the city police chief over his non-professional attitude.
He had drawn public and professional ire in three months on the seat only.
A sub-inspector of the Punjab police, Fahad Iftikhar Virk, had resigned after Umar Sheikh had called him ‘khotay ka bacha’ during an official meeting.
