Baqar Lake: A Mesmerizing Site Awaits Sindh Government’s Attention

The locals have arranged 11 boats on their own for hauling the visitors to historical places

Baqar Lake, located at the tail end of the Nara canal near Achro city in the Sanghar district, awaits for Sindh government to shower some attention over many underlying issues to attract more visitors.

Due to its mesmerizing and eye-catching view, Baqar Lake, commonly known as Chotiari Dam, is popular among locals and visitors from adjoining areas.

While enjoying cool and fresh air while dangling feet beside the lake’s water, the visitors spend a great time as they remain engrossed in fishing and boating.

Talking to News360 while enjoying the undiscovered recreational site, the visitors demanded the Sindh government build a recreational center beside the lake to attract more tourists.

“The locals have arranged 11 boats on their own for hauling the visitors to historical places”, one of the visitors informed.

A local journalist Aslam Memon expressed that Baqar Lake has a historical significance in the district with a historic building in the middle of the lake owned by the Junejo family.

However, the heritage has been left unattended by the irrigation department for many years.
