Travelling-Abroad-Bills Slump During Pandemic

The decline in first seven months remained almost 50% during the pandemic-hit year compared to corresponding period of last year

Like multiple sectors suffered massive losses during coronavirus pandemic, traveling remained among the top as the industry was hit hard, pushing traveling abroad bills to drop sharply.

According to the data gathered by News360, the traveling abroad bills during the first seven months of the fiscal year 2020-21 (FY21) remained around $454 million.

The figure in the corresponding period of the previous year stayed at $902 million.

The decline in the traveling abroad bills remained almost 50% during the pandemic-hit year.

The pilgrimage travel also took a nosedive during the first seven months of FY21.

Only $0.261 million of global traveling was accounted for the period compared to a whopping $269 million in the corresponding period of the previous year.
