Tourists Swarming KP During Eid Generated Billions

Nearly 2.77 million tourists entered the region creating employment opportunities for many that benefitted the local economy

The vacationing spots in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) attracted millions of tourists during the Eid-ul-Azha holidays and generated over Rs 27 billion turnover.

KP Chief Minister presented a detailed report to Prime Minister Imran Khan on a spike in tourism during the holidays.

According to an estimate, nearly 2.77 million tourists entered the region creating employment opportunities for many that benefitted the local economy by more than 27 billion.

As per a document, the economic activity escalated during the Eid holidays as tourists flocked to KP from July 22 to 25.

It said revealed that nearly more than 1.5 million tourists visited Swat, 1 million headed to Galliyat, and120,000 gathered in Kumrat Valley.

It also disclosed that nearly 720,000 vehicles entered tourists spots during the holidays. Meanwhile, millions of visitors are still vacationing in the region.
