White Blanket Adorns Quetta After Snowfall Hits the Town
January is the coldest month in Quetta with an average high-temperature of 10.8°C and an average low-temperature of -3.4°C
The provincial capital Quetta along with many other parts of Balochistan have received heavy snowfall with the temperature dropping below freezing point daily at night.
The adverse change in temperature affected the waterfalls in the Zarghoon mountain range, the tallest mountain range in the Balochistan region, which has become frozen due to severe cold in the area.
The daytime temperature in the mountainous range usually drops from 9 °C to 12 °C and further dips to -1 °C at night.
The spell of heavy snowfall in Quetta attracts local tourists as well as visitors from across the world to enjoy the mesmerizing view of frozen mountains.
January is the coldest month in Quetta, with an average high-temperature of 10.8°C (51.4°F) and an average low-temperature of -3.4°C (25.9°F).
Quetta has been covered with a snow blanket since the first spell of snowfall and the citizens are enjoying the freezing cold weather, however, a few areas have been facing difficulties due to a shortage of gas supply.
